I’m with Outfox the Market and it’s 100% Renewable Electricity. How are the consistent price rises justified? It’s going up more than gas and let alone the standing charge also.

do you have a special sperate inlet into your property direct from the "Renewable" source? If not, then it's the same as the rest of us. Multiple threads are started daily (sometimes hourly) in regards to the raise in prices, specifically standing charges. Have a read of some of some of those to answer your question.

It is renewable only by virtue of carbon offsetting, as with most suppliers. The wholesale price of electricity is determined by the whole mix of what goes into the grid.If you want truly renewable energy then go to Ecotricity or Good Energy, who don't use off-setting. Their prices are even higher because they are not subject to the Ofgem cap system.0

I'm with Good Energy and my bills are eye-watering - they've gone up 100% over the last 6 months. Electricity is 34.19p per kwh, standing charge is 30.23p per day. Gas is 34.19p per kwh, standing charge of 30.23p per day. I am paying the going rate which the price cap is protecting most people from, but at least Good Energy aren't likely to go bust!0
