Mk3 Mondeo aux belt renewal interval?

I know some have access to databases that give this kind of info. I couldn't find my Haynes this morning in time before leaving for work and I want to contact the garage today about something else so could do with finding out the replacement interval on these.
Googling only gives me vague answers along the lines of "between 40k-100k miles". Bit of a range like.
So, a 2006 (56) Mondeo 2.2 diesel (in case it is in any way different between I think the Titanium level (I Think that's the only other 2.2?)& the ST TDCI then mine is the ST TDCI).
Years and miles interval would be ideal but whatever info you have.
Failing that I'll just have to check tonight and phone them on Monday to be one of those annoying would it be possible to add this job on customers if it turns out it needs changing.

A different car, I know, but my Toyota Yaris service schedule advises check/examine at 6 years or 60k miles. It's recently had a service at 8 years old and I had them change the original belt. However, they did say it wasn't too bad and could have gone a bit longer. If you don't know when your's was last changed (if it has ever), for what it costs and peace of mind, I would have it changed.0

On the X Type which has the same Duratorq engine as the Mondeo, the aux belt is every 150k or 10 year and the PAS belt that runs off the cam at the other end of the engine 100k.
The Aux belt and tensioner on these engines can cause a nasty rattle. The dampered crank pulley wears out which twangs the belt which rattles the tensioner apart.
Jaguar issued an uprated kit of Aux tensioner, belt and revised crank pulley, not sure if Ford did for the Mondeo.
If it's noisy, best to replace belt, tensioner and pulley.

@Goudy hmm thanks for info...
I ask because after 2x 170 motorway mile trips at the weekend this week has had 3 out of 5 mornings starting with that high pitch squeal you get when the belt needs doing.
I know it has a timing CHAIN but wasn't aware it had 2 belts.
Checked this morning & there's a receipt from October 2016 for the aux belt, tensioner etc being done for £170ish
Car was on 90k at the time.
Car is now sitting on 155k.
What do you advise? Having owned this engine before yourself?0 -
Yes, two belts, the aux belt on the front of the engine (the engine is transverse, so that's the offside) that drives the alternator and Aircon pump.
And the PAS belt (that also runs the water pump which is siamesed underneath the PAS pump) runs off the cam shaft at the back of the engine (battery end)
When the dampered crank pulley wears, it usually rattle and knocks the aux belt tensioner really loudly when idling but tends to smooth out when the revs rise.
If it's not doing that just try replacing the belts.

What it does is -I start up the car and you get that high pitched squeal. Now I know some times you can hear folk half a mile down the road still squealing, but once I leave my drive (so basically as I start driving) it stops. Now depending on the day and the journey, I can be a couple mile down the road, give it an hour and then come to leave again or I can be 10 mile down the road, give it 10 hours and come to leave again. In each case it doesn't squeal again (not yet). Not until I get home and try it again in the morning - and that's the only time it's done it so far, the morning and in each case as soon as i've gone to drive off my drive, it's stopped.0

The belt needs replacing if it squeals. If you want to see when it is recommended to be changed go to the Ford Etis website. There you can input the VIN of your car and look at what is recommended at every service interval. Go through them until you find the one that mentions the belt.0

Thanks for the tip. I'll see after work.
Since Goudy mentioned a 2nd belt that I hadn't thought about, it raises a question from me which hopefully has an obvious answer to you guys who know more....
Which belt is the likely offender?0 -
It's difficult to tell which from here, but I would guess it's the aux (alternator/aircon) belt.
Can you not get someone to start it up in the morning and see which end of the engine is noisy?
I should be pretty obvious with the bonnet up.
As I mentioned, the aux belt end (front) does tend to cause issues for the Duratorq engine,.
Seems the torque from the crank isn't dampered enough by the crank pulley and it causes stress on everything running off that end of the engine.
There's also a chance it's not actually the belt that's squealing, but one of the bearing in the tensioner or idler wheels or say the bearing in the alternator or aircon pump. All of these can get squeaky and squeal.
