Smile bank known problem

Just a heads up to any Smile bank users who look at their account and think some credits have gone astray. They maybe haven't as the bank is having problems with some accounts not showing all entries in January and February. The running total is still correct and the missing entries can be seen by downloading and viewing statements. It gave me a heart stopping moment when I first looked on the app and saw no entries for my pensions but thankfully the money is really there.

Trying to get through to smile bank is a major issue. Using the secure messaging service has seen a 48 hour delay in response. Using the telephone service involves extremely long waits, even when ringing at 8 am as they open. Just rang and given an expected wait time of 60 minutes. This is all at my expense. Spent two days trying to get back online, with long phone call waits and still no success.
If you are thinking of joining Smile, think carefully. Been with the bank 20 years but now service has reached an all time low.0 -
I'm surprised that Smile is still open to new business and hasn't simply been absorbed into the main Co-op brand. Anyway, the Smile brand isn't marketed, none of it products appear competitive nor does it even have a switching incentive; new business will be limited.bemrose said:Trying to get through to smile bank is a major issue.
