Hello.
Due to fly in May and it says in the email you must be fully vaxxed (we are) AND a neg lateral flow.
Only thing is what do they mean by that? How do you prove that? You can't take the test there and there and im really worried we will do something incorrectly and be refused to travel. Can anyone please advise?
I emailed the airport we fly from and they replied with a link that I'd already read and didn't give specifics. I'm such a worrywart, any advice would be appreciated!
Cheers!

Under current rules you need to do an invigilated lat flow test and get a certificate of the result... this can by going to a clinic or doing one of the tests from home where you have to do it on a video call. For the avoidance of doubt, these are private tests you pay for not a different way of doing a free NHS test.
Rules are potentially going to change between now and May but they are published on the US CDC website (a link to which is on the Foreign Office website)1 -

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/usa/entry-requirementsBefore boarding a flight to the USA, most passengers - regardless of vaccination status - are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day before travel.
If for example travel on a Monday, you need to do a test on Sunday, you can book a test at the airport, but best wait as may change and not cheap either.
