Electric fire, never really worked

I bought a brand new electric fire in January 2020 (be modern), it has never really worked. The shop I bought it from were never interested and told me I had to contact the manufacturer. I did this and they sent someone to it, they never actually tried it, just changed it. The second one has been no better. It has a remote control that you set the temperature with, it says on the remote the room temperature is 20 degrees, the thermostat is set at 23 degrees. So I assume that when the room temperature gets up to 23  degrees it would switch off. It comes on for about 1 minute then goes off. Be Modern did say that any kind of draft (coming down the chimney) would make it turn itself off. The chimney has been blocked off and there is no draft at all. We don’t use it that often but it would be nice to have that little bit of extra heat when we want it. Basically I would like to know if I can take this further as the company just don’t care?

You would have been better off persisting with the shop last year, your rights are with them, not the manufacturer
