Boiler Grants

I have just moved house and found out that the boiler which is over 16 years old is an old one with a heating tank and water tank in the loft and is inefficient to say the least.
At my last house I received a new boiler a few years ago through the government grant scheme as my child is classed as disabled and we are in receipt of benefits.
I did look at the latest scheme and was told that due to the fact the boiler is working but there's an issue with external parts connected to the boiler we couldnt claim through the scheme, we were told that you can claim through the eco scheme but we would need to have installed underfloor insulation as well as the boiler to be able to claim. I already have cavity wall insulation and loft insulation but needs topping up and I dont want underfloor insulation as Ive been told this may create damp/condensation problems in the house.
Is there any scheme where I can claim a grant for just a new more efficient boiler
I have been quoted £3000 to have this one replaced and I cant afford this at the moment and it will take me quite a long time to save this amount.
Thanks

I'm no expert on ECO grants (new boiler, etc) but I believe the new work has to save energy over what it replaces.
There are various points awarded for different items. As far as I am aware you are not obliged to have underfloor insulation. It might be nothing more than an improvement which the installer felt would earn you enough points, especially as you already have cavity wall insulation and loft insulation.
You may be able to earn the necessary points to qualify by having some other work.

Hello, does anyone have any update on the ECO grant, as my mother in law's 16 year old boiler has packed up, she's on pension credit but everyone keeps telling her it finished at the of March. Not great when an 84 year old pensioner has no hot water and keeps having to boil a kettle. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thank you0

where is she? I believe that in Scotland there may still be grants (non-ECO) in this situation.0
