Memorandum of sale?

Hi :) We are first time buyers and have had an offer accepted on a property! Before we put in the offer we had an AIP from London and Country, but I read that estate agents prefer ones from actual banks, so we also got one from Natwest, which is what I sent the estate agent to formalise our offer. We've since been in touch with the broker from L and C, who needs some documents from us before he looks for the best mortgage deal.

Today we've been sent a form for the memorandum of sale. It asks for our mortgage brokers details and which mortgage provider we're using. Can we fill this in down and put down L and C as the broker and Natwest as the mortgage provider (even though we might not ultimately go through them), or should we wait and put down the mortgage provider that the broker recommends? I don't want to leave the vendors waiting too long as there were a lot of offers on the property and we were very lucky to get it!

Apologies if this is a stupid question!

Put Natwest as that's you've already sent them.
If you change lender later, well, that's your right.

Thank you! And presumably it’s just for their info, they’re not going to be getting in touch with our mortgage broker or anything?

they shouldn't get in touch with the mortgage company  / broker - they may speak to the solicitor but that is all
