Gladstone Brooks

Gladstone did a claim for me that concluded in 2020 Feb/March. 

Then covid hit lockdowns etc and I heard nothing more from them. 

I did put the amount I owed them to one side and haven't spent it. 

I sent them an email last year saying I hadn't heard anything from them about confirming how much I owed them and didn't get a reply. 

Today I have received a letter from a solicitor saying I have 14 days to pay. 

Anyone know anything about why lack of.contact from them? Did they take the decision to not contact people during Covid? Are they still trading? 

A letter or reply from my email would have been nicer than a solicitors letter with a two week deadline.

    They're no longer authorised, so things fell through the net, but it doesn't really matter.

     Just make the payment swiftly to avoid any additional charges.

    Whatever their reasons, it does not remove the liability for you to pay the bill.   

    Stating the terms of payment is not unpleasant or wrong.  It is normal to present payment terms on an invoice.

    Absolutely agree with liability to pay.

    More intrigued as to the reason of 2 years no communication or reply to my email to get a letter that to me that was 'out of the blue'. 

    I thought they had stopped comms due to covid but maybe I was being kind to them as online feedback doesn't paint them the caring kind!
