Ryanair - request for confirmation letter of 'NO' refund

I was unable to fly with a booked flight at Christmas due to one of the party testing positive for COVID-19.  I am now trying to claim the money back via the insurance.  The insurance are asking that I obtain a letter from Ryanair confirming that they DID NOT give me a refund?  has anyone else come across this and were you able to get such confirmation from Ryanair?  Any tips would be really helfpul.  Thanks

From experience dealing with them for someone else a few weeks ago, their live chat service don't take too long and are actually quite responsive.
