Ebay trainers authenticator has failed to deliver my item

I sold a pair of expensive trainers on eBay and I had to post them to the authenticator so they would get the authenticity guarantee. They passed fine as they were real but yesterday I received negative feedback from the buyer saying the courier has said they have been delivered and there is proof of signature but they have not signed for them and do not have them. This was UPS. I spoke to Ebay and they have removed my negative feedback. I presume it is the buyers problem now. Not great though

    You are covered from the Ebay point of view, but the honourable thing is to try to find out from UPS what has gone on here.x  If the buyer has not received their parcel I can understand why they were annoyed, but probably only you or Ebay can try to help.  Do you know the UPS tracking number?

    If the authenticater has sent them on then OP has no part of the contract so it is likely that UPS won’t even talk to them. However I’m not entirely sure how the authentication system works and how involved the middle man actually is.

  • That’s right - I have had no dealing with UPS. Also I am unable to message the buyer and they are unable to message me as that was a comment they left in their negative feedback. I presume this is so there can be no intervention whilst the authentication process is happening 🤷🏼‍♀️
