Any way to avoid Plusnet broadband early termination fees?

Plusnet have just updated the ticket asking me to contact them when convenient to book in an engineer appointment to connect the line.
They are obviously unaware this has already been completed as my router gained its connection yesterday.
Maybe if I wait 18 months before contacting them I can officially go live after my virgin contract has expired0 -
Finally now have a line fully installed and working so here's the final update.
My complaint was escalated and I received a phone call from a senior complaints handler.
He said their contract with Openreach gives them £5 compensation for each day the installation is delayed beyond the agreed date, in this case 2nd February, and since I have other products with Plusnet etc to avoid losing my custom they'd be willing to credit this compensation to my account which essentially gives me 10 months of the 18 month contract for free.
After the 10 months I can choose to cancel the remaining 8 months and pay cancellation fee on that or I can just swallow it and keep the line as a spare and pay monthly till contract ends.
