Esure car insurance

Hi all, just after some advice, I’m with esure, and had an incident in February with another car. So esure have had my car since for 14th of January to be fixed. Their garage still has my car but cannot get the headlight they need to finish it and give my car back, apparently it’s due to brexit and covid, I ring the garage every other day but can’t say when it will come or be fixed. In the mean time esure cannot provide me with a Courtesy car as they have none and the waiting list is huge. So I’m paying for car insurance but have no car, and don’t know when I’ll get my car back. They sent me £150 cheque as a good will gesture, as I asked them to wipe the £250 excess for such a long wait but they wouldn’t.
Just wondering what any of you do in this situation?
Thanks in advance

Was it a fault accident?
Realistically what do you want them to do if the part isn't available? Personally I'd be calling my local dealership to confirm that there are issues getting the part but ...
What does your policy book say about courtesy cars? Traditional ones are provided subject to availability and modern hire car ones are normally for a max of 2 or 4 weeks so even if you had had one it'd be coming near to the end of your entitlement now.0 -
It’s a both at fault even though the other driver came into me, but it was on a round about and esure said it will end up being 50/50. It says I will be provided with a car within two days of the incident.I’m not sure what I want exactly but the garage who is fixing the car said I could easily be waiting another good few weeks. So I’m paying a premium for insurance yet still won’t have my car back for at least two months. It could be longer?I’m just annoyed I guess that no ending is in sight and I’m paying car insurance when I don’t have a car, don’t know when my car will be fixed and I don’t have a courtesy car.0

You could ask if there is an option to suspend the policy but then you would need to SORN the vehicle, tell the garage its SORNed and would be at risk of an "act of god" type incident causing damage to the car for which the garage wouldn't be liable.0
