Seller asking for completion date the end if the month when our mortgage offer end

We had our offer accepted in Dec. Just before exchange of contract , the ea asked for 15k more which we could not afford so said no. Ae contacted our mb to find we can get extra money. Not sure what the discussion was about but the mb submitted a calculation of how much extra we could borrow.
Eventually proceeded on the original offer price but since then ea and seller have shifted the completion date till the end of our mortgage offer . The mb and solicitor work with the ea.
How can we handle this?

Have you exchanged yet?
For future reference, use an independent mortgage broker and solicitor! It's not helpful for the EA to know how much money you have.
A completion date needs to work for both/all parties. As long as it is within the mortgage offer, then that's ok isn't it? What date does it expire and what date are they proposing?
If you wanted, you could put your foot down and insist on completion by the end of February otherwise you'll withdraw from the sale.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -
Completion dates need to work for everyone involved. End of March isn't bad after a December offer.Adwhyte said:Eventually proceeded on the original offer price but since then ea and seller have shifted the completion date till the end of our mortgage offer .1 -
