TFL pay to drive autopay service
Options
Hi I recently (in a hurry) downloaded and set up the TFL pay to drive app and thought the auto pay would be a good way to go. I didn't think things through and didn't check my car details before signing up. Turns out I don't have to pay the ULEZ charges for my car, so happy days! Then I thought if I don't need to pay why keep the auto pay account. So 24 hours after starting it I sent an email asking if I can change my mind. The response I got back was yes we have cancelled it for you, please pay the £10 annual fee before we close your account. I know I got myself to blame for not thinking things through, but shouldn't there be a cooling off period for agreements like this, clearly I made a mistake and don't want the service so should I have to pay? I've sent in a query asking out of goodwill if this charge could be dropped, we will see!

Just in case anyone (like me) comes across this article, TFL Autopay no longer charge an annual fee.0
