Certificate of posting pads no longer valid?

I went to one of my lesser used post offices today- a really friendly one. Due to the fact that I am still trying to use up my large stock of stamps I had a few large letters and a COP from a pad , it says it is a P326. The counter lady said she would stamp it on this occasion but could not in future as these had now been withdrawn , I asked what the alternative would be for stamped post and she wasn't sure. Anyone else heard this?
I do usually print out a bulk POP from the RM site if I have more than 5 or 6 large letters (I didn't on this occasion ) but due to an ongoing saga I don't currently have a normal printer - so I can't do that.

When I take my pile of stamped parcels at Christmas they type each post code in and give me a POP receipt, sometimes singles and sometimes a multi.

Still live on RMs stock system (which is actually fulfilled from PO Swindon stores)
I know the DOs still use these and dont see much reason for their removal unless they have an updated design (unlikely)1 -

Thanks custardy, I know this isn't your area of work but I appreciate you checking.

I suppose it is possible that Post Office are trying to move twards the system of entering into the till to get a receipt PoP instead of the stamped ones, but the Royal Mail delivery offices are stamping as they don't have the same system as POs?0

This was a Post Office, but even the others I use still stamp my POP. I did come across one that gave me the paper till receipts instead - but from the look on their face they weren't happy as it took quite a while. My delivery office which I use quite a lot does, as you say, just stamp whatever I give them.

I used my own stamps and printed RM labels and in both cases printed out the form to get stamped but the assistant at my local PO insisted on putting the details for every item on the printed till receipt. She said this was so the item was recorded as a 'sale' at the branch and they were paid. I've no idea how payments workLove living in a village in the country side0
