Hi to all my friends on this forum....
Yesterday, 1st March, because I had not heard from the DWP in answer to my letters....  I decided to bite the bullett and ring them.  I left it to the afternoon and was pleased and surprised I only waited about 5 minutes for them to take my call... The person I spoke to was extremely helpful and assured me that all my correspondence was showing on line...She took all my concerns seriously (I think) and I do believe was making notes on the system as we spoke..  She said she was passing my file on to the correct dept. dealing with my claim marking it as an emergency vulnerable person problem and said I should hear from them in the next week.
So Watch This Space as they say.  Thank you to all interested on this site for your help ...
  • Hi Forum friends... just an update I eventually got a response from the DWP admitting they had made a mistake YEAH that was a couple of weeks ago.  I have been waiting for them to (1) pay back what they had took out in error and (2) start paying the correct weekly amout of PC into my husbands account.  So far they owe us 5 weeks of wrongly deducted amounts.
I really do wonder how folks with supposedly big amounts owed can get their money back ...  I thought once mistake was found and  admitted they would just need to press a button to put the matter right ....
