Packaged bank accounts among most complained about financial products - but only 4% are upheld

Totally agree with the OP.
All these people claiming they didn't realise they were paying £10 or more a month to get much cheaper worldwide travel insurance and mobile phone insurance and car breakdown cover as part of a single package than they would do if they bought these separately direct. Often with other add ons included too like tablet cover or home emergency cover.
And then suggesting its unfair because they never claimed on this insurance so they want their monthly payments repaid with interest. Well I haven't claimed on my car insurance for a decade. Should I get my premiums repaid - of course not. I might have a car accident tomorrow.
Sorry just tired of seeing endless bailouts and compensation for the dumb. disingenuous and frankly in some cases the dishonest. Good to see only 4% of these cases succeeded - shame its not lower!7 -
I'm as cynical as anyone. Public persona means little. People are great actors. That's not to say that some organisations do have a charitable objective other to maximise profits for their shareholders.born_again said:

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/about-the-site/ has the launch date and an interesting phrase about the ethos of encouraging action rather than providing balanced information:Founder and Executive Chairman Martin Lewis created MoneySavingExpert in February 2003 for just £100. The site's ethical stance and consumer revenge approach have made it the UK's most popular money website...0
