My elderly parents have Virgin Media but only have a Phone Line and TV. They switched to Virgin (Telewest) years ago when BT put a telegraph pole outside their house and father wasn't happy. They don't want/believe in the internet (don't ask!). They have Talk More International Anytime, TiVo Monthly Fee, Player TV (M), Telephone Line Rental. They were paying £36 pm this has now gone up to £40. What are their options as all providers seem to include Broadband?

All providers are moving over to VoIP methods for phone lines, so all will need a broadband product of some sort. iirc BT were thinking about offering a "broadband" product that would only be usable for phone but dont know if anything came of that0

Just call, virgin see what they will do for you, explain you want to leave cos of price, you will get an offer, if you don’t like that new offer price cancel if you like and wait for retentions call back. Do they need talk more international etc, can they switch to talk anytime? That may save a bit. The tv part I assume is basic channels so May as well just watch freeview. Do they need a landline could they have sim only mobile etc with unlimited calls? They are very cheap..0
