Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark,- air feels cold.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO roast pork, LO mash and LO yorkshires, veg and gravy. Tonight we'll be having chicken made into something.
Yesterday work was ok, busy at times but then ok. Today is my half day working from the other office. I have jobs to do after work this afternoon.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Dry and windy this morning although I don't think the rain is far away. Bedding is on the pulley, the living room dusted and hoovered last night and the kitchen worktops all had a wash down too. It's the first time since I had Covid that I've really had the energy to do any jobs after work.
DD and the little one are coming this morning to let the oven chap in, hopefully I'll have a working oven by this evening, not that I use it very often (that's probably why the fan motor has given up - lack of use!). DGS commented on Sunday that I hadn't made him any oatie biscuits but I did have a good excuse!
Hope you are all doing well, hugs to the poorlies and the missing. Enjoy Wednesday, take care. XX13 -
Good morning, aand thanks for starting NMLC,Seems to be a dry start today, I'm hoping it'll stay dry so I can get some washing out on the line.I didn't go to the Metrocentre yesterday. I won't bore you with the (bus related) story, went to Newcastle instead. I got most of the things on my list, but I think I'll go to Metrocentre possibly Friday, I like the TK M*xx there better than the one in Newcastle, and I particularly wanted to go in there. The car needed some work doing to get through the MOT, so that cost rather more than we'd bargained for, but hey ho, what can you do.RosyRed, I don't make many male cards either, I've looked on Pinterest at the male cards for ideas but I usually don't like them. I've only ever made one sympathy card as well, I usually buy those.Hope you enjoyed your morning out yesterday TA, I can never resist fish and chips if I 've had them before at a place and I know they're nice.. We've had some awful fish and chips during our travels in the caravan - DH once worked out that we'd had horrible fish and chips in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. There's nothing but housework on the agenda for today, and I'm still half heartedly going through clothes. Does anyone else have trouble getting rid of things, I've even taken things back out of the charity shop bag before.I like it to go more or less as soon as I've filled it to stop me doing that. My DD is even worse for that than I am.However, I'll stop nattering on about nothing and hope that everyone has a good Wednesday - take care folks.14

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A dry day forecast here too but the ever present wind is still with us. Yesterday was horrendous, in the morning especially. Heavy rain and, of course, wind and it was impossible trying to keep my brolly up.
I had my usual good meet up with oldest buddy and, guess what, the fish and chips won!! It was fairly quiet with no kids running amok but I should imagine the atrocious weather kept them all indoors.
This morning we have the vets for the Sparkly Cat. It's 10 weeks since her last jab. Unbelievable how she has kept clear all this time. We are at a different branch this morning so the different vet will have his work cut out with her. Her usual vet (still off after his knee job) had the measure of her and stood no nonsense from her!
DD is doing the honours of taking us there. She is picking me up on the way to the dance studio with the two youngest for their jazz dancing class. It's usually in the evening but now daytime because of school hols.
I'm sure I shall find a few jobs to occupy me when I get back! Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies and fed ups. SNOOZER what a farce with your laundry. There is no excuse when you have embroidered the address on everything. I hope our inclement weather is kind to you for your stay in God;s Own County. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Good morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc
Dry and bright here today. Will get pup out for a walk at lunchtime to get some steps in. The pork and apple burgers were lovely last night – definitely one to repeat. Tonight we are having chicken, lemon and garlic casserole, and I will also prep a bolognaise bake for tomorrow night as I’m in the office tomorrow.
I heard back from the job application – not even selected for interview ☹ Guess there’s a lot of folks wanting to work full time from home. I am back 1 day a week in the office for the foreseeable, so haven’t got it bad at all – must count my blessings.
Hope Sparkle gets on okay today TA.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning folks.Scarlet - isn't there a branch of TK at Silverlink? All that new road layout there had me bamboozled when I was down last year.TA - good luck to the vet, I hope the visit is bloodless. 😂What a dreadful February we've been having, yesterday was a weird mixture of beautiful sunshine and dreadful driving rain showers. Today there's a yellow weather warning here, again.Yesterday a landscaper came out to see me, I want the front 'garden' sorted out. It's not really a garden, it's a fenced off corner of the huge field outside which I cleared out back in 2018 and now needed attention. The membrane is breaking down and the bark disintegrating into a yucky mushy mess so it needs stripped back and gravel laid. It's a big job however the space has to become useable again. The quote made me swallow hard but I may as well make good use of my inheritance. The work won't happen until early May. 🎉
I'll be having another dull day, the weather warning, as well as how bad it is now, has kiboshed any plans for going out, I'll do more weather watching.Hugs to our poorlies and a Happy Wednesday to all.15 -
Morning
Blue sky and sun today cold though but nice to see the sun
All my visitors came and went yesterday without drama
New cleaner is lovely so that’s a relief. She changed the bedding which was my number 1 must have. She also took apart my bedroom getting rid of all the dust bunnies and cobwebs.
Then it was open reach who also sorted the new system out quickly and doubled the speed I was getting with the new router. Left his number in case of a problem which was reassuring too. Didn’t leave a return bag so I will be keeping hold of it. (thanks Gers and snoozer) If they want it they can collect it. Bit of a pain reconnecting the bits and bobs I have but all done.
Left overs for dinner, some crushed pea potatoes, last of the leeks, onions and a couple of bacon rashers. Strange combination I know but really tasty nevertheless
Tonight I have some curry out so will make some sides and have with nan
No plans today apart from one call
Have a good day all

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but with a thick frost, will go and feed the birds after this and defrost the water for them.
I came home from work yesterday with an upset tummy, still not right now everyting seems to be going straight through, so I will stay off today and see how I am tomorrow.
Not sure if I fancy anything for dinner but will do something easy like an omlette if I fancy one, dd is working till 8 tonight so will eat at work, OH will be happy with an onlette too.
I have got a wash on but think that will be all I do for today, I can see a duvet day coming on !
Have good days all and take care xxx12 -
Hi everyone,
Redruby, I hope you feel better soon.
Gers, I agree, spend the money on something that will give you pleasure. I spent mine on Laura and Chris' weddings and I wouldn't change a thing, they were fantastic occasions.
Floss, Steve wants to lock the emergency bedding away but I think that defeats the object of emergency bedding if the guests can't access it. Mind you it hasn't been needed so far.
TA, we went into Skipton yesterday and took Ziggy for a dry, if muddy walk round the woods, I love the willow sculptures in there.
I rang Laura yesterday and was on the car speakerphone, they are going away for a few days and Esben's little voice said "Nonna, come on our adventure please." I miss him a lot but I must admit I need a few days recuperation, it's so tiring looking after a little one as I know a lot of you understand.
It's looking a bit grey today but we will still need to walk Ziggy.
Have a good day.15 -
Morning everyone the day is running away with me dog has been walked it’s a grey and breezy day supposedly a better weekend is forecast I hope so I think you feel so much better with a bit of sunshine roll on spring I have taken shepherds pie out of the freezer for tonight just to heat up when I get in but I am going to make a beef stew for tomorrow just some leftovers from Sunday so that will be nice and easy when I get in I wish I could have a personal chef 🧑🍳 oh and a cleaner and someone to do the shopping I don’t want much do I 😂 my friend has just sent me some pictures of them all in Benidorm it looks lovely and warm I have never been but it was her friends big birthday they were having coffee and cake so a couple of pictures so it’s not a wild party but they all looked as if they were enjoying themselves . Scarlet we have a TK near us but I like the one further away I once asked why they were so different and was told it depended on the manager there is certain things they are all sent and then the manager can choose a certain amount of stock the Darlington one definitely has a good manager.hugs to everyone who needs them thinking of the poorlies stay safe and warm have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning, hugs if you need one.
Very little wind but DB tells me it will be back around lunchtime. I have a coloured load in the washer, will try drying it outside. I use the dryer in the winter, but really prefer to dry on the line if possible. More stuff than usual 2 days late doing it thanks to changing the bed Monday and a meeting yesterday.
Bank change over is completed, paid the bill yesterday for the bedroom carpet, so thats all the bills for the bedroom sorted. I enquired about the length of time the carpet would be available, I am hoping it is still going when we have the sitting room done next year. I am going to steam clean the hall and sitting room carpets a.t the weekend.
Corned beef hash for supper tonight.8
