Holiday Insurance Recommendations for existing medical condition

Some time ago I am sure I read on here recommendations for Travel Insurance companies for older people with pre existing medical conditions.
OH is 68 and has high blood pressure but also has back problem and hopes to see a consultant at some point. there is no appointment booked so far.
It will be for a week so just single trip insurance.

The travel article here will still have the same advices as before but any insurer is going to be very reluctant to touch any undiagnosed condition... many will simply decline, if you are lucky some may be willing to offer cover excluding the back issue0

If you still work and are in a trade union try them. I usually buy annual travel insurance for me and hubby, for a Europe holiday and a visit to the USA to visit our daughter. Our
ages 60 and 68. It used to cost pre covid approx £350, I have a stent and hubby high BP. Got a quote last year after I had recovered from breast cancer and it was heading up to £1,000😳. I then read a booklet about travelling with and after
cancer it recommended trying your union, I did and I got a fantastic price of £250! Amazing. Worth a try for anyone travelling with or without pre-conditions.2
