My daughter has a CTF maturing in March , we moved home in 2021 and wanted to advise The Children mutual that we have moved house, so when they write in early March the letter gets to us. I have documentation relating to the initial investment being paid into Invesco Perpetual Income fund plus paper work supporting other payments made, however the latter advise me that they do not hold my daughters funds? went online and filled in HMRC " who has my fund page" turns out Childrens Mutual was taken over by Foresters, well they deny they have the funds they suggested I try Foresters Friendly society, they couldn't help today as their computer is down.... you could not make it up! They suggested try "One Family" they could not help. I have the correct URN number, which is now my daughters NI number I have a bond statement dating back to May 2015, no other paperwork has been received... today I heard back by letter fromHM revenue and customs advising me that the provider is the FORESTERS who have again denied having record of my daughters legitimate money PLEASE CAN YOU HELP. Just received a call back from Foresters Friendly and they do not have the records and they advise to escalate the issue with Foresters as they bought out Childrens Mutual, this is a mess and how many others are affected as my actions on the phone most of the companies I have talked to are blaming HMRC yet I am not so sure this is the case... I have the correct URN number so why cannot this be traced?

Childrens Mutual was definitely acquired by Foresters, so they should have your daughter's CTF, which is why HMRC have advised this via both channels. Foresters Friendly and One Family are completely different entities and nothing to do with this.
Best bet will be to invoke the Foresters complaints process: https://www.foresters.com/-/media/foresters/documents/pdfs/uk/other/ff-complaints-procedure-2017167.pdf1 -
Foresters Financial https://www.foresters.com/en-gb/products/childrens-savings/the-childrens-mutual took over the childrens mutual CTF not to be confused with the Foresters Friendly Society. The former being a trading name of The Independent Order of Foresters whereas the latter is a trading name of The Ancient Order of Foresters Friendly Society Limited. All very Monty Python.0
