I think our seller may pull out

We made an offer on a place in December just before Christmas so naturally we lost a week while everywhere was shut for the holidays, there was a delay with our sale process of about 3 weeks after an issue with our housing association and land registry which has been resolved, our draft contract went to our buyers about 11 days ago so all searches and enquiries are under way and our buyers have had their mortgage offer, but we are on a fairly good track, however the seller is now saying we will have to complete within 3 weeks. Naturally we are worried they will pull out at the last hurdle if we can’t hit the deadline… but surely finding another buyer is just going to make the process even longer for them? Not sure if it’s just bully tactics but we are panicking now.

No point in panicking about something you have no control over. They could pull out anyway on the day of exchange and you could do nothing about it. They obviously think you could be moving faster and are trying to push you along. Talk to your EA and see what they have said to him/her.

When we bought our house we had delays on our sale and for about 2 months our vendors were threatening to pull out virtually every single day if we "didn't exchange tomorrow".

They didn't pull out. We're now living in the house.
