I've just bought a new gaff and that's ataying on the SVT for the foreseeable future. However, I have ordered a smart meter to be fitted so I have more flexibility with suppliers offering TOU (time of use) rates in the future.

IF you can get a fixed that is no more or only slightly more than what the SVR WILL rise to in April, it is worth considering as it will then protect you from Octobers rise in the SVR. I don't see many predicting energy prices will be falling by October.
