Morning everyone
Its wet and wild here again this morning! Planned to go down and sit with dad while mam went into town this morning but I'll have to see what she wants to do - might wait till this afternoon when the rain is supposed to have stopped. I have an order to pick up from M and S and one from Argos - little great nephews birthday present for April - there were some toys he likes reduced to clear so I'm being organised.
Other than that I have a few jobs to do but nothing strenuous! I'm halfway through sorting my book cases out in my bedroom - I'm taking all the books off, dusting them and cleaning the shelves before re-arrranging them - would be quicker if I didn't stop to read the backs of most of the books!
Scarlet ribbons - I haven't been to Alnwick Gardens since my girls were young - they used to love it there - I'll have to take little one in the summer. We always had to take spare clothes and towels. It's only about 50 minutes on the bus from here. My mam and dad both come from Alnwick so I used to spend a lot of time there.
Well I'll wish you all a good day. Take care x

Morning, hugs if you need one.
It seems to be very calm just now, is it the calm before the next storm? The bungalow across from us has two coping stones off, need to check our roof just to be sure. The coincil are coming on Thursday to fis the cement in the apex. I warned them what would happen if it was not fixed PDQ, its the side where we have just had the bedroom redecorated.
Off to a council meeting this morning, both of us have been co-opted onto a panel representing all the lessees in council housing.
Not sure about tonights supper, will sort something out later.10 -
Hi everyone,
We had a good journey up to the Yorkshire house, in sunshine most of the way. I'm just going to have a small rant - when we decided to let the house out we spent a small fortune on new bedding (2 sets for each of the 6 beds including mattress protectors and pillow protectors). I embroidered the address on everything so there are no labels to be lost and yet for the last few times we have been up there has been unidentified bedding on some of the beds, not only that, but one of the beds had been made up with the spare bedding we leave in case the guests have an emergency. The cleaning company is very good, guests comment on how immaculate it is and the bedding (white) is always spotless so we really don't want to change companies, is it too much to ask that they bring back all our bedding after it is laundered and use it? Rant over.
We've had a late start today, hopefully the rain has gone so we might take a trip into Skipton, walk Ziggy in Skipton Woods and get a few things in the shops.
TA. I hope your chimney is fixed before we get any more storms, lets hope March doesn't come in like a lion.. Csarina, I hope your roof is ok.
Nelski, I wouldn't bother sending the router back, we didn't and they never asked for it, if they ask tell them they need to collect it.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning all. Collected the broken glass and swept up all the bits with no mishaps. I'm quite shocked the wind managed to blow that much glass and metal around to be honest. Have docs later on to discuss blood test results, no idea what they are again. And have to think of something to cook. The slow cooker thread is giving me ideas but I'm trying to empty the freezer so may have to go down sausage and mash route with onion gravy. Or fish pie. Or something. Right, better find some breakfast...nanny, hope you have a lovely time away. Camelot, yes, I had a tear in my eye, or two...Jackie, TA,enjoy your peripatetic day.. Take care of your good selves today...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

Morning, rain just clearing so DS is running me up to the retail park, its DH birthday tomorrow and need a card etc. I dont tend to make male cards myself .Meatballs or chicken for tea will decide later, we're off to our football match later and have to pick up DS2 & DGD first but by the time we've dropped DGS back off at his Mums it finishes too late so he doesn't tend to come to night matches.DH & DS2 had a late start today, they needed to let the rain ease before sorting a chimney on the job.Right sounds like DS ready so off I go, take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Nelski, I wouldn't bother sending the router back, we didn't and they never asked for it, if they ask tell them they need to collect it.It's OpenReach which deals with maintaining the network and lines and BT which provides the equipment - the BT website says that they will send out a return bag in 2-3 days. It's more for me and still no bag. I'll wait a bit longer before binning the old router. When I last had a new one there was a bag in the box.Snoozer - no, it's not too much to ask that the bedding is returned properly. I'd certainly ask them to deal with it.

Good morning,
Raining here at the moment but supposed to dry up later but at least the wind has dropped. Hoping to get a walk in today.
I've just got to give the bedknobs another coat and the handles of the wardrobe and chest of drawers. I had bought new handles but when I went to out them on the screws weren't deep enough so back on with the old knobs 🙄
I am enjoying listening to my audiobook while I'm doing stuff, I listened to Richard Osmans The Thursday Murder Club last week and am now listening to his The Man Who Died Twice, I've read them both before but am quite enjoying being read to 😊
Have as good a say as you can 🌻

I didn't get around to posting yesterday. Did some work on more circle bunnies. In the evening we went for a meal at the SA before we split into groups for two separate courses that were starting. We are doing the Alpha course.
Today I have been to a funeral at my old Church. Afterwards I managed to walk to the SA and arrive just as they were starting Bible study.
