Boots advantage card - bonus points

I’ve had an advantage card for years - but noticed on my last order that I didn’t get quite the points I was expecting. Having looked closer at the terms and conditions I’ve received the right amount - but it could do with being a bit clearer. 

In the past I’m really sure I would get X bonus points for spending Y pounds - and this would be on top of the ‘regular points earning’ - but the current offer is a little misleading in that it says 500 points when you spend over £50, and that’s all you get. 

I did spend just over £50 - and I only got 500 points in total rather than the 500 bonus plus the regular spend points of about 200…   

I’m sure in the past that they were clearly bonus points on top of regular points - but am happy to be corrected if it’s always been this way and I’ve just not noticed it before. Has this been a recent change in the way they show their promotions - or has it been going on for years?

It used to say extra points, so this offer just says 500 point when you spend £50 and that is what you get.

Yes - I'm sure it was always 'extra points' - but not it's all inclusive points. I'm not going loopy then I thought it might have just been me! Thanks...

Been this way with Boots for several years.

I can remember being surprised that it was not extra points, just a fixed sum maybe five or more years ago even.
