Diagonal Crack?

Noticed this hairline crack on bedroom wall today which is no more than 30 cm in length or 12 inch.
I painted the room last year, i don't like diagonal cracks but i know skimmed walls do show hairline cracks quite often, no visible problems on outside and subsidence not really an issue in the area.
Should i be concerned, i remember a guy on the radio last year saying vertical cracks are generally okay but diagonal can be a sign of problems occasionally..

Sometimes, but not usually.  Generally if the crack isn't getting wider than you don't need to worry.  Unless of course it's on the outside wall as well as the inside.
