I'm confused. Got  a letter from Arrow Global today claiming that I owe them nearly £700. Doesn't say who to though. I did have a Littlewooods catalogue years ago, and Lowell got a CCJ in 2018, which I've been paying them £15 a month. I also had a simply be catalogue in 2014, that got into arrears. I was paying it back then. Minimum payment was £3 a month and I was paying £30! Every penny of that was going on charges. When I asked them to freeze the account so that I could pay it off and close it without the charges, they refused. So I stopped paying it altogether. Both accounts had a similar balance. One I'm paying with a CCJ and the other I haven't paid anything since 2014, which would make it statue barred wouldn't it? Or are they chasing me for the CCJ? I was planning on ignoring them. I'm just trying to work out who the debt is for. Littlewoods (CCJ) or Simply Be (statue Barred) Anyone know?

While I am no expert,I think that you would be directed towards a 'prove it' letter asking Arrow to provide evidence that you really do owe the amount claimed. The evidence that they send would make it clear which catalogue caused this debt, at which point you could begin discussions over the debt being statute-barred (they do still attempt to collect statute-barred debts since many people do not know their rights).
