£19.99 on a large fruit and vegetable O~box.
So many ideas for the daikon. Definitely going to pickle some with a little carrot.
OH loves pancake day so will eat them all day even for dinner.
My dinner will be tofu, vegetable japanese curry with rice and salad.
£19.99/£170.50.
£150.51 left.
Breakfasts will be pancakes/waffles with fruit or porridge with fruit.
Lunches will be left overs from days before if there are any, jacket potato and beans, quinoa winter salad or pasta salad.
Dinner ideas for the week for me (likely in order):
Japanese curry with rice and salad x2.
Vegetable stir fry with inari sushi.
Tonyu nabe (basically a vegetable hot pot with soya milk in the broth. Very good for cold days) x2.
Vegan toad in the hole, served with alot of veg x2.
Snacks : fruit, chia pudding, oatcakes or ricecakes.
Drinks : coffee, green tea, matcha, mint tea, ginger tea and of course plenty of water. Oh and a cheeky alcoholic drink sometimes too.
May make an apple crumble or pie the day the oven is on for toad in the hole, will see.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy9 -
First spend of the month was £15.73 in Aldi for pancake making supplies and fruit. I'm hoping I should be good until the weekend now as I've got plenty in the fridge and cupboards.
I did a bit of bulk cooking yesterday and made a curried carrot and parsnip soup (which we had half of with bread for lunch today); a spicy peanutty beetroot, swede and quinoa stew (I know it sounds weird but it's really delicious) and a big batch of tomato sauce which will do a couple of pasta meals I reckon. I've still got loads of other veg, some leftover Yorkshire puds and veg from the weekend and both meaty and veggie sausages so some kind of toad not-actually-in-the-hole will be a meal as well.
I feel like I'm off to a good start.😀

My first recorded spend for this challenge today. I used a small community shop and spent £7.50. Lots of good offers today on things close to their sell-by date. I got three small squashes, six cooking apples some Wensleydale cheese, two pizza bases, two pre-cooked frittata, salmon pate, some tomatoes, rubber gloves, bathroom cleaner, two bottles of Listerine, two tins of tuna and two of tomatoes, a jar of beetroot, two jars of jam, a tin of apricots, a tin of rice pudding and a tin of custard (last two for OH if I am away), a pack of scouring sponges.
The cheese, tomatoes, pizza bases all need to be used soon so I am about to do some cooking. I am going to make leek, potato, and Wensleydale soup and I have plenty of odds and ends like mushrooms and peppers to go on the pizza bases. I just love the whole reverse meal planning thing as it challenges me to be creative.

Glad I've been some help Greying.
I've done a pantry stock check and tidied the freezer and I've come to conclusion I will just buy a few more tins and packets that I use the most, and still replace the ones I use from the pantry on a day to day basis, so I won't touch the extras I've bought.

Evening allWeekly shop today - unfortunately I had to ask OH to go, as the dog was at the vet's and I was waiting for them to ring. He went to Mr S, as they have everything under one roof. Also had a £3 off voucher. He spent 42.25 and got everything on the list, much of it fresh stuff. Several items were dated today, which I would have checked
but it is what it is, and I can freeze items.
Made pesto chicken for dinner, used chicken and (home made) pesto from the freezer, plus cream, an onion and a tomato left over from last week. A bit filling for me tbh, but OH enjoyed it.Dog now back from the vet's - unfortunately he is very uncooperative with the vet and they couldn't pinpoint exactly what is wrong with him, even though they sedated him. I now have to keep an eye on him and see how he gets on, and try to get a urine sample to take in on Friday. Wish me luck with thatApparently he spend most of the day eating Roy*l C*nin food from a tin, after refusing to eat anything at all for 2 days. He won't normally touch tinned food. Anyway, I had Am*zon vouchers from surveys, so used them to cover most of the cost of a tray of this food. It is much cheaper than buying it from the vet's. And I only had to add £5.26 of actual money to the vouchers to cover the cost. So £47.51 / £200 spent so far. Let's hope I can make this last!

OH went out as he ran out of honey.
£4.44 spent in Mr S.
He did manage to snag 4x500g bags of carrots for just 9p each (a whole trays worth of them had been reduced) which was much appreciated as we only had a few carrots left.
£24.43/£170.50.
£146.07 left.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy6 -
Had to pop to the supermarket today for a few bits. Also had a free bar of chocolate on my Sparks app so popped into M+S and also treated us to some marmite hot cross buns while in there! The meat and veg box arrived today and we now have so much fruit, veg, eggs, meat and cheese I don't think we will need much else for a few weeks! Finally I had a delivery of dog food and treats which I won submitting a photo on FB of my fur baby so she is well stocked for the month!

I spent another £2.07 this evening. Little Greying (LG) has started a new club that is the other side of Greying Town , so I had to find something to do for about an hour. Went into MrA for a nosey. Didn't expect anything spiffy in the mark downs, but did come across a couple of pots of Tomato/Mascarpone pasta sauce, for 21p each. They still have a months date on them, and will definitely come in handy for a pasta bake. I also picked up some hing for some bean curries I'm planning. So, 2 'not on the list' items that will be incorporated into the menu plan and one store cupboard item that was on the list - just got picked up today, rather than another day.
£18.30 on day 1 😬...... and breath........
Tea tonight was 'bitsa' for all of us, as we all ate at different times. I have got a vague idea for meals going forward - will post tomorrow. Breakfast is always porridge and/or toast, lunch is sandwiches/leftovers/school meals.

No spends from grocery budget other than to pay for the milk the veg men delivered last week. An extra 10p vs usual but I was glad to not go to the shops. There is such an abundance of food in, i haven’t got round to meal planning at all yet! It’s kinda stressing me out 🤪Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Lost track a bit last month, but would like to rejoin this month. I hope to get lower, but will set a target of £90 a week, which will be
£390 for the month.
Would love to be much lower, but want to eat well still, keep my expensive organic veg/fruit boxes and my milk deliveries. With rising prices I'm not sure how this will all work out, but will see how it goes.Spend so far is £33.05 for my veg/fruit box (and eggs etc).2025 decluttering: 3,452🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅
