Gas Smart Meter Balance On Display

We had smart meters installed in December. There's an activation issue with the gas meter so I had to do a manual reading which was when I noticed a balance showing on one of the screens on the display. As it's not pre-payment and we pay by direct debit, I thought this was unusual and I can't find anything about it online. Can anyone tell me if this is normal please?

Don't worry about it, mine also has a number there, but as your meter is in credit mode, not pre-pay, it is not used.

I also get a balance displayed on my smart meter, which is a different model. I don't think it's important.If I go into my IHD it gives the same figure and says it's the balance to date for the billing period.N. Hampshire, he/him. I've noticed this on my meter and if you check again you will see that it is going up and is recording how much your using (according to the tariff it thinks your on) so is perfectly normal.1
