WiFi connection problem on laptop

I've recently been having issues with connecting to a public WiFi that I've been using for about six months.
It only happens with my laptop, connection to my phone has been ok.
There's been two types of problems.
The first is that for about a month or so I have had to connect to the WiFi twice, as it now always disconnects after a minute or so.
The second (a major problem) has happened twice in the last week.
When it tries to connect, it says "No internet, secured" and does not connect.
No amount of tries, with Restarts, and turning power off and on, will get me connected.
Later on, it mysteriously connects without me doing anything.
I'm worried that in the future it may happen again and never connect.
The laptop is an HP ProBook 6465b running Windows 10 Feature update to Windows 10, version 21H2

Could be a whole host of things. Firstly I would go to WiFi settings and click "Forget Network" for the wifi you are trying to use. This will reset all the settings for that connection which might help. Just check you are not inadvertently connecting to another network like your mobile hotspot or some other device. Do you have any security settings running that have changed to be careful on public networks and could be restricting your access?1
