I need to remove one of my kitchen drawers to get to an electricity socket on the wall at the back. The drawers are slide drawers but the metal slide is underneath. Could someone please tell me how to remove this type of drawer and how to put it back again? Thank you

This dark grey part in the middle doesn't look healthy to me. Is it the same for all sliders? There are many videos online for various brands, especially for IKEA. Try searching for yours or finding similarities with other brands0

There should be a tab on the slider that when you press in disengages the drawer to allow you to lift it off. Then, to put back on, fully extend the sliding mechanism, place the drawer back on and push until it clicks into place. As mentioned, there will be variations of this for different manufacturers.0

Just Google Blum and the various slider mechanisms0

That grey bit in the middle looks like it needs to be pushed in or out? Might release something. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Watching with interest. When I sold my house there was something stuck under one of the kitchen drawers and I tried everything to get it out, but failed. I'll always wonder what was stuck under there!£216 saved 24 October 20140
