Waterproof backpack with dedicated laptop compartment

Hi all,
I'm looking for recommendations for a genuinely waterproof backpack with dedicated laptop compartment, please.
Will only be used for one trip in the foreseeable future so can't justify spending more than absolutely necessary but obviously needs to be durable enough not to fall apart on first use!
Thanks in advance

What level of "waterproof" do you want? Surviving heavy rain? Being able to go swimming with it?
What sort of capacity?1 -

In terms of capacity, I'd like it to double as an overnight bag as well as a daily commuting bag. I'd say 20L as a minimum. I'm not sure if entry level backpacks would have much more than that.

Fjallraven Ulvo 23.....Both the zip and the roll up versions are waterproof but the roll up I believe can be submerged under water. Bombproof and looks great.

If all else fails get a bin bag and put the laptop in that. Or go a bit fancier and get a bag liner from a walking shop like Cotswold.
I've always been too cheap to spend on something like this but I have only been trying to protect clothing rather than techy stuff.
as a suggestion...

You could try checking out motorbike kit; someone I worked with had one, but I don't know the brand.
