The cladding issue is only on flats above 18 meters or about 3 storeys. So if you find yourself a low rise or a converted house you should be absolutely fine. Other things to look at in the flat market which make it good for resale.
1) Lease length needs to be above 100yrs min 2) Ground rent and service charge 3) Close to transport links 4) Outdoor space if possible even if that is a balcony
