Change from E.on Energy to E.on Next

I am trying to find out if E.on can change my supplier from E.on Energy to Eon.Next.  I have been with Eon.Energry for over 20 years and do not recollect getting T&C's from them.  I am trying to find out if this move is legal and how I get Terms and Conditions from E.on when I joined them.  Any help would be appreciated.

It's basically a name change by Eon so I would think it's all legal and above board.
Someone please tell me what money is

Yes, it is legal, every supplier contract I've seen allows them to assign the contract.
Your tariff should not have changed because of the transfer if it was fixed.
This is the sort of language you will find...
"We may transfer, subcontract, assign or novate any or all of our rights (including the right to recover the charges) or obligations under the Contract without your consent, but this will not affect your rights under the Contract."

  • Your T&C's change each time you change tariff or if you're on the SVT then each time the prices change, so the T&C's from 20+ years ago are irrelevant. Why are you against moving to them?
  • EoN.Next is a wholly-owned subsidiary set up to use the Octopus Energy Kraken Technologies billing platform. When E.oN took over NPower all its customers were moved to E.oN Next. So successful was this move, E.oN decided to do the same for all its existing customers. It is allowed and it is legal.

I bet EDF will manage to make a complete Horlicks of moving to Kraken. It's in their DNA!
