Parent Moved from Igloo to EON

Hi 

My Mum was with Igloo and she'd not realised that they had gone under and was switched to Eon, now setup an a/c but she's in arrears as the DD did not continue. Starting to sort that part out now but wondering how do I found out what her balance was with Igloo (could be in credit/could not) as when I try to access the Igloo account it does not work anymore is there a way to find out easily?

    If she was in credit it should have been added to her EonNext account.  She should have already received a final bill from Igloo.


  • OP if your Mum didn’t notice that her energy DD hadn’t gone from her account for a number of months it may well be that there are other things awry there too. An awkward conversation for sure but if at all possible it might be a good idea to see if you can sit down with her and check that all is well, or at least encourage her to do so herself. Similarly check that she’s not ignoring emails (which it sounds like she maybe if she was unaware of the energy switch) or failing to open post.

    I was transferred to Eon.next from Igloo.
    My credit has now been transferred over, well a while ago now from Igloo to Eon. You need if not already done set up the online account with Eon.next for your mum. If your mum was with Igloo I guess you will find emails relating to the transfer. Likewise Eon should have sent emails, it's probably the only way to operate both accounts, online.
    I had to ring Eon.next to sort out my tariff rate, all sorted now. I found the person I spoke to was very helpful so give them a call.

    And yes the Igloo app/online account access has now closed down.
