Our fence has blown down in storm today! I’m not mad about it because it was on the list of things to get done this year anyway as they were looking dodgy.
Got a man coming to do a quote on Monday to do the fence and also some repairs to the small retaining wall (about 2 ft high) which was put in by the cowboy builder tenant who rented our house before we bought it, it as some of the top bricks are wobbly.
Our garden is small, about 45 square meters.
This is our first house and I haven’t had this sort of work done before. What would be a reasonable ball park?

The charges tend to be by fence panel and post, so you could do a quick calculation of the number of 6' panels required and posts in between. Last time I had this done was about 10 years ago and it cost about £60 per panel installed.
Prices now are utter madness. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -
The fence panels 6 x 6 are £30+ each. Post say £10. Postcrete £5-10. Plus gravel board £10. Plus delivery. So, your guy is paying roughly £60 per panel for the materials.Plus his labour. Will you want him to dispose of the old stuff, or will you do that? This is an easy DIY job, by the way.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
