But.... Tesco Express is more expensive than your 'bog standard' Tesco, so NOT a money saving experience.MSE_Laura_F said:Hello @Rosa_Damascena,
Check out Trolley - it compares supermarket prices so you can see when Tesco has the cheapest option and plan which things to pick up there:https://www.trolley.co.uk/
Tesco Express includes Clubcard deals now too. We've got a page on the main site for logging the best deals when they crop up.

Buy two packs in general. So might get three white chocolate and three milk chocolate magnums, so two each of each type and then decide who likes which on best for the other. Don't think of a three pack, its a mix-and-match six pack

It was actually a trip to a large Tesco store that inspired my Feeling the pinch? thread. What once used to be supermarket sweep experience had me struggling to find anything at a price I usually pay at Lidl / Aldi.MSE_Laura_F said:Hello @Rosa_Damascena,

I have a Tesco Express very local to me which I nip into for milk and YS goods only. Anything else has got to be on offer but being such a small store in an affluent area, they are few and far between. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

At what cost and effort though?MSE_Laura_F said:Thanks all. @theoretica I bet there's a way to make DIY Magnums using a tub of cheap ice cream and melted chocolate for the shell.
Gas or electric to heat the chocolate, plus time to make it, plus some lolly sticks...
There's money saving and then there's money wasting...2 -
Chocolate needs minimal heat to melt, a few seconds in the microwave does it.anotheruser said:

Magnums are the pricey option given how little it is you're getting. The DIY method isn't money wasting, but it's a bit of a faff.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
