How do you deal with 3-packs in an even-number household?

A lot of products are sold as three-packs. If you're a family of four, how do you get round this inconvenience?
My partner and I often buy the 3-pack of Magnums from our local Tesco Express. This is how we tend to divvy up the third ice cream.

Silly ;-)Buy 2 or 4 would make it fine for more households.Depending on the no of people a further grasp of proper ratios is simple enough.3

Buy 2 packs.4

Both good suggestions, but would it perhaps not be the most MoneySaving to have to buy six ice creams for a family of four? Even two single Magnums tend to cost more than the three-pack and don't tend to be on offer as much.
What are some MoneySaving getarounds that don't require buying more than needed?0 -
Buy a tub instead - more icecream and probably cheaper.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Thanks all. @theoretica I bet there's a way to make DIY Magnums using a tub of cheap ice cream and melted chocolate for the shell.0

Try the Aldi alternative. I’d never buy magnums, too expensive.1

So much to read, so little time.1 -
My partner and I have fairly different tastes anyway - I prefer mint ice cream, he likes caramel as an example. I'm also vegetarian, he's not, so we have veggie and meaty sausages and the like. So pack size be damned, we're getting one pack each most of the time anyways.
Finger rolls do come in six packs and we have two each - so two are frozen til there's 4 spares. We would happily have three each, but then we'd have to buy less ice cream.0 -
Hello @Rosa_Damascena,
Check out Trolley - it compares supermarket prices so you can see when Tesco has the cheapest option and plan which things to pick up there:https://www.trolley.co.uk/
Tesco Express includes Clubcard deals now too. We've got a page on the main site for logging the best deals when they crop up.
