i had a court case recently and the judge was against me and sided with the claimant. So this has made me disheartened about fighting this but i will go ahead and thank you for the advice.

Also is this the part you meant about the BPA:

Spaces for disabled motorists should be identified either by the wheelchair logo on the surface of the bay or with or without the words “DISABLED ONLY”. They must display the appropriate sign at a driver’s eye level.

That's not the BPA Code of Practice.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, this was the only sign next to the bay would this be classed as a sign for a disabled bay or do they have to be specific to that bay? as i cant find anything on the BPA code of practice that mentions a sign for disable bays.

Sorry to ask about this again and thank you for the help.

No idea what that sign says! It's illegible.

thats the only sign they have sent to me when i asked them and the sign has changed over the years since 2018.

However i have went on google maps and there was no sign next to the bay. but the sign they are relying on is two bays away.

i have until Monday to send in my witness statement. Thank you coupon-mad for your help.

I'd say that corner bay has no sign to alert a driver that it's intended as an accessible bay. Requires an upright sign otherwise how would a driver know, after parking and stepping out of the car?

Isn't that a yellow disabled wheelchair symbol painted on the ground - partially hidden in that earlier GSV image by the guy in the foreground?

This image shows that bay more clearly...

It's also the only bay bounded by a yellow line in that small car park.

It has even got a drop down post fitted which should also indicate that that bay is a bit different.

My conclusion is that the driver knew he shouldn't park there but decided to take a chance.
