I guess though that you would be looking at potential properties in your desired area before putting your house on the market in Scotland then.

I suspect the 'constraints' the system has over E&W helps focus the mind and stops the faffing around because its not easy to put off your tasks for a few days because you're not in the mood.

Not necessarily @TripleH some lenders allow a 3 month cross over with the new mortgage to sell the old property, it's a mortgage condition.

Based on the amount of unfurnished properties listed for sale, it must be a few lenders who do it as I doubt all the sellers have died.

Cheers, still there is a more definitive timescale than here.

I doubt you'd get a situation where despite 2 previous aborted sales, the seller would castile be churning the same vague semi-completed paperwork out each time (as with out 2nd aborted purchase).
