Level Credit Card - Experience?

Hello,

Has anyone used Level recently and what was your experience like?

I have recently signed up, provided a generous credit limit, and also a rather happy 28% APR, (I have poor credit so anything under 35% is surprising).

Following some comments on here, does anyone know if Level report to CRA? Do they only report to Experian?

They review credit limits on a monthly basis, their app says. How was this experience?

Thanks,
Jamie

  • Presumably you will be paying off the balance every month so 28% interest is moot?

Any credit card can be reported to any, or all, of the CRAs, in my experience all mine are reported to all CRA but your mileage may vary

    According to Level Card help.

They report to Experian and other sources.
I continue to resist Level card for time being, 28% isn't best rate though a lot of other cards are in 20's range anyway.

    thanks

As long as you're paying the balance in full every month - which you really really should be doing - then the APR is irrelevant.  If you apply for a new card with the intention of carry a balance, then the best advice is to not apply in the first place.

I tend to disagree, no harm in repaying some interest.

This is terrible advice. There is harm in paying over 20pc interest and it should be avoided. So many lives are ruined by credit card debt that turns into persistent debt.
my advice was referring to Experian as per OP's question.
I think any further comment's have been opinion.
Though what some not all mser's fail to realise is that not every card holder is able to re pay in full every month.

I have had a level card since October 2021 and had nothing but a positive experience with them. I use it to pay my childcare fees to the kids school and clear in full every month so no interest payable.

I started off with a £200 limit and this was increased to £350 on January so just over 3 months since the account was opened. Because everything is pretty much done via the app they are really hot on checking the transactions are genuinely you using the card and will occasionally ask you to verify the purchase in the app or after so many contactless transactions will decline it and ask you to use chip and pin. As long as you make sure you have notifications switched on then it’ll be fine and it’s quiet reassuring they take such measures for fraud purposes etc.

I have credit karma, clear score and totally money accounts to check my reports and all of them show the card on the reports and are reported too.

You might be unaware but the use Dandytf has already been though a DMP and has some odd habit of opening up as much credit as possible all over again, running up tonnes of expensive debt and having to use BT offers to try and keep the wolves away from the door. He knows all about persistent debt as he's halfway to a second DMP

What I have completed months ahead of predicted D.F. Date . Is SC Dmp.
It's been amazing qualifying for 23k approx. Credit cards total limits, though I need to add another 900 pounds for one of two r.b.s. Card increases past few days.
Once h.2.s expires March/April 2022 -then only 2-3 hundred to achieve 0% utilisation.
    Phenomenal Credit Managing continuously.

Personally, I'de rather other mser's keep to OP's thread and question's.
