Hi Everyone,
I hope someone can help.
Today I spoke with BT about their offer of the essentials package to low income families, however because the ESA benefit is in my wifes name and the BT account is in my name they wont help us, they told me that they could create a new account in my wifes name but I would have to pay off the original account which doesnt end until 2023. I asked to speak with a manager but they refused......
So now because I'm already a customer of BT I cannot get the cheaper essentials package intended for low income families like myself.
Does anyone have any advice please as this has annoyed me so much and I really dont want them to get away with this, I'm sure I wont be the only one who has experienced this.

Don't see where "they're getting away with it" tbh, the account & benefits surely have to be in the same name to stop mis-use of the system as far as I can see it1
