Wadworth in Devizes was founded in 1875 and boasts an enviable tradition in the brewing of fine beers.
Many of the original brewing techniques and closely guarded recipes are still employed today; great care is taken to select only the finest malt, hops and yeast.
Wadworth also has a 260-pub estate stretching from Somerset in the west to Hampshire in the east and from Dorset to Worcestershire.
The brewery is giving away a case of 6x to four lucky readers.
Wadworth have been brewing 6x in Devizes for 80 years. This copper-coloured beer (4.3%) is described as having a malty, fruity nose with a restrained character. The beer is both full bodied and distinctive, but with a high drinkability, making it one of the most popular beers in the south west region.
Wadworth is throwing open its doors with the launch of its new visitor centre.
Opened by the Rt Hon Michael Ancram, MP for Devizes, Wadworth invested in excess of £500,000 in the facility which took eight months to complete and features the latest touch-screen technology.
Situated next to Wadworth's Northgate Brewery, the centre has been developed with the layman in mind and aims to educate people on the fascinating but complex process of brewing the perfect pint.
Split into four distinct areas, visitors will be able to learn about the brewery's long-standing heritage, the only working shire horses left in Britain, the Wadworth signwriters who produce all the pub signs and the cooperage - manned by the last remaining master brewery cooper in the country.
There is a bar area where people will be able to sample and enjoy Wadworth's full range of beers, as well as a shop which stocks merchandise for all the family
