Child Benefit - how much a year?

We always receive Child Benefit of £84.60 per month for one child. As the payment is supposed to be £21.15 per week , this means that the calculation is 4 x £21.15 = £84.60. This is £1015.20 (or 48 x £21.15) per year. Is this correct and what we should be getting, given that there are 52 weeks in the year? This would be 52 x £21.15 = £1099.80. That is exactly one month less than what we get now. I only was made aware of this possiblity when someone outside the family mentioned it. Thanks

Child benefit is paid every 4 weeks so you will receive 13 payments a year.0

At some point during the year, there will be one month where you get two payments0

as others have said, Child Benefit is paid 4 weekly, not monthly. Check through your last 12 months bank statements and you will find you've had 13 payments in total. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
