Chorus: You're still not getting it. You still haven't told us your annual consumption in kWh. You're still thinking in DD amounts.Gerry1 said:Above all, you should be thinking in terms of the annual cost based on your annual kWh consumption derived from actual meter readings, not estimates. DD amounts are meaningless because they are only tops ups of a kitty that may or may not prove to be sufficient to pay the bills.EssexHebridean said:You’re not getting it.Roughly what area of the country are you based in?What is your annual usage?
Without that info it’s literally impossible for anyone to advise whether the deal sounds reasonable, or not.Direct debit amounts tell nobody apart from you anything.Marsdenfamily said:We are moving house in April. Assume I can transfer this deal to the new house?Never assume anything: 'Assume' makes an A.s.s out of u and me !You'll have to start off with the existing supplier(s) at the new property. Having registered, you can then start a switch to SP but there's no guarantee that they will offer you a tariff that may have been withdrawn by then. Get them to provide all the details in writing, including their policy on charging exit fees if you move.0 -
Thanks Gerry.I will check if i can move it.What are your thoughts on the tariff. 48% higher than the one that ends 28th Feb?
Really appreciate your input0 -

That "SP Exclusive Fixed June 2023 B1" tariff is cheaper than the April Ofgem cap in all respects - both unit rates and both standing charges. There are no consumption figures that would result in you paying less on the April cap. However ...We are moving house in April. Assume I can transfer this deal to the new house?I wouldn't intentionally start a 2-year fix with a £60 exit fee if I knew I'd be moving house in 2 months. You can't assume you'll be able to take it with you and, if you can't, you'll be liable for the exit fees too.
