My go faster fixed term ended two days ago, got the email saying I was moving from go faster nov19 to go faster nov19.

Checked my account and still showing 4.5p and 14.2p

I'm thinking it's going to change on Monday, but obviously hoping not.
Apparently, a few on Go Faster have automatically renewed like that and Octopus have allowed them to keep the same rates for another year. Very Lucky for some!

Hi SC, your post made me think to check mine and yes, it's still showing the original Go Faster rates. For how long I wonder!

I started my new tariff today and my IHD is still showing the old rates. I received an email a couple of days ago advising my rates were changing and inviting me to click on a link. I clicked on the link on Thursday and saw some frightening rates then clicked on the link today and saw they had gone up again. Here’s the latest - 47p day and 26p night.
    Anyway that’s pretty expensive electricity!

I had been in email contact with Octopus last week and they advised my new GoFaster rates would be 8.25/29.82p so I am wondering when they will be applied, retrospectively perhaps? Hopefully they shouldn’t be any worse than that but that is still going to double my bill.

Yes the email (below) on 3rd March said I would automatically go on to the new Go Faster rates. Please note I have removed the links (in your online account) in case it let you access my account but what appeared in the link was in the screenshot I posted earlier today.

    Hi Ken,

We thought you should know that on 5th March 2022, you'll reach the end of your fixed term, and automatically moved to Octopus Go Faster: our always great value variable tariff.

Our prices have been adjusted recently to account for the latest changes in wholesale costs. You'll always find the most  up to date rates in your online account.

You don't need to do anything, but if you'd like to fix your prices, you can do so at any time
    in your online account.

Good to know: Our Octopus Go Faster has no exit fees, so you're always in control.

    Kind regards,
    Pete Miller

A colleague of mine renewed on Go s few weeks ago (long after Octopus had "fixed" the bug that was allowing renewals on the old rates) but still kept his 5p/15p rate for another year. Maybe you've been lucky too?

I have just had my first bill since the old 5.5/13.3p rate expired and the bill says the the new rate (which should have increased but didn’t)  is guaranteed until 5 March 2022.

Hi SC, my account still shows last years figures and, like you, understand them to be fixed until next Feb. But I expect to wake up each morning to discover it has all just been a dream. Keeping fingers crossed I don't have a night mare between times. :)
