Fixed tariff question

Options
Hoping someone can answer this. We are fortunate enough to be on a fixed tariff with EDF until September 2024. What happens regarding the £200 government ‘loan’ and our tariff? Will our bill go up by £40 a year too or stay the same as we are fixed?

It will go up just like everyone else, as the suppliers T&Cs allows them to pass on additional imposed costs like this even if you have a fixed tariff.

  • Update: So far no changes, all payments and charges have remained the same.

Not surprising as there was no £200 loan.

It has been replaced by the £400 EBSS which does not need to be paid back.
  • You should have received the £400 Energy Bills Support Scheme grant. As your tariffs were below the Energy Price Guarantee levels they would have been unchanged.
