Tandem - are they safe?

@Vonnie406 Atom are now offering the same rate as Tandem (1.45%) if you wanted another option for a 1 year fixed rate saver account. I'm currently midway though a 1 Year Saver with Atom and don't remember having any issues with the application.
One important thing to bear in mind with these app-only accounts is that you are responsible for ensuring that your phone will run the app, both at the time of application and when your fixed rate saver matures. Atom, for example, don't have an online banking site that you can log into and manage your account on. The minimum recommended requirement for Atom's app is currently iOS12 or Android 9 but this may change in the future. Just something to bear in mind if you have an older phone or one approaching the end of it's lifecycle (in terms of OS updates).0
