can I upgrade my Santander account to 123 lite again?

Last year I downgraded my Santander 123 lite to an ordinary account as I was not making enough cashback from my DDs to pay the fee compared to what I could get from my BoS reward account. £3.00 odds a month against £2.50 cashback as I had reduced my eligible DDs .
Now I only have 5 DDs whereas I used to have 9.
Now things have changed, G&E DD doubled, council tax increased and my cashback would now be £7.07 (£5.07 with the £2.00 fee)
Can I upgrade my Santander account back to a 123 lite as I never closed it, I just stopped using it, it has a balance of £0.01?

it sounds as if you didn't technically downgrade, as if you had, you wouldn't have a 123 lite sitting there with a balance
Have you tried upgrading the Everyday account? What options where you offered? I think you can only have 1 123 Lite, so your only upgrade option the system would offer you is to a full-fat 123. You'd probably have to call Santander to close the Lite before you can upgrade to it.
Another option for getting rid of the existing Lite prior to upgrading your Everyday could be to switch it for a switch bonus. Such a switch will close the Lite, and once complete, you can then upgrade your Everyday to Lite, with no change to account number and card.0 -
If my reading is correct, the OP still has the account which was previously a 1-2-3 Lite but is now an Everyday.Just ask Santander, I can't see any reason why they'd downgrade you but not upgrade you...0

If I read correctly you "upgraded" your 123 Lite to an Everyday account then stopped using it leaving a 1p balance. If so I can't see any reason why you can't do an upgrade back to a 123 Lite in on line banking.
