Have you tried writing to the UK accommodation address?
https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/FC034087/officersWithout a copy of the lease you have a major problem. It is possible to sell a house with leased SPs but lenders are very particular on the terms of the lease so a variation might be required. The alternative is to buy out the lease then sell.0 -
Thank you for your reply, yes our solicitor has written but as of yet no reply ! It's very frustrating as our buyer is not going to wait forever .

we have leased solar panels owned by PLENTITUDE SOLAR when we agreed to the contract we were told that the company would maintain them and check them once a year, they have been up over 14 years now and not once have they been checked.from day one we have seen no benefit in our bills i have spoken to them about this and they just said they are working as they should,we had to have a new roof 3 years ago it cost me £2000 to have them removed and reinstalled i tried to buy the lease but they asked for £25000 .and also they said they would charge me a penalty for every day over 2 weeks that the panels were off while the roof was being replaced. so iwould advise anyone thinking of leasing to think twice1

Get your solicitor to ascertain who is receiving the FIT payments. This may not be the same as the original installer as these benefits are often assigned to another party.
Roof leasing schemes are not what they once were as the Government no longer funds FIT payments for new solar installations.

If you are not seeing any significant benefit then I don’t think you can be using a lot of day time electricity, although I agree about avoiding leasing your roof space for 25 years.0 -

The main thing with obtaining benefit from Solar panels is to make sure that you are using as much of the free electricity when its generated.
Waiting till the sun is out to do the washing, ironing, hoovering, cooking etc?
If you have been doing this for the last 14 years then you probably don't notice the benefits.
We use about 1700 kWh of Electricity that we have to pay for each year. Before we had Solar Panels it was around 4000kWh per year. We also have a I-Boost that diverts only spare generation to heat the immersion for our hot water tank. That uses around 1200 kWh's per year which has reduced our Gas Bill also.
